February 21 - 11:00 a.m., Edison Caretakers House

In celebration of Thomas Edison's birthday, history characters Thomas and Mina will host a special tea. The two will take guests back in time as they talk about their lives together and time spent at their winter estate here in Fort Myers. Guest will also be able to sip some hot tea and try Edison's favorite cake - coconut!

Teas at Edison Ford are a favorite amongst visitors and sell out quickly, so early reservations are recommended. The fee includes a self-guided tour of the entire site, including the gardens, museum, laboratory, and Edison's and Ford's historic winter homes. The Edison Caretaker's House is an original "Cracker House" and one of the oldest standing structures in Lee County.

Cost: Edison Ford Members $15; non-members $25. For information, contact Leeanne Criswell, Edison Ford Program Registrar at lcriswell@edisonfordwinterestates.org or call 239-334-7419.
